Founded in 2019, MeetMUMZ strives to give mothers across various stages of motherhood & career a community support eco-system. As a geo-location based mobile app it helps mothers find, meet, and connect with other like-minded mothers who then based on location, interests, and children’s age can swipe, connect and meet each other for playdates or coffee catch ups!  Through the app, mothers can also connect with subject matter experts and brands that can support them across the motherhood stages. Also supporting Mother founders in their business journey while they raise the next generation and as part of the eco-system, MeetMUMZ provides the support, the platform, and tools for business founders to grow with the community by learning, showcasing, and marketing their products to mothers in the community.

About The Owner

Hi I’m Ekta, the founder of MeetMUMZ.

I moved from India to Hong Kong after getting married. After my first child was born in 2016, I felt, even though I had a good support system, lonely and overwhelmed. Having grown up in a large extended family with multiple pairs of hands feeding, nurturing, and loving me in a secure environment, I missed having such a large community supporting me. As I realized that many other expatriate families were facing similar problems, I decided to start a Facebook community for mothers to connect with one another. The group grew quickly and within two months, there were already 100 members. As my interest in having a mother support community continued to grow, along with crowdfunding and my expertise in computer engineering and finance, I envisioned the meetmumz application to be a platform that embraces, empowers, and focuses on the narrative to find their own happy place.
