I have demonstrated experience as a founder, investor, CEO and Chairman building large, progressive businesses in frontier markets. I have a track record in creating and implementing strategic business models that deliver long term value in challenging businesses environments. After a decade at the World Bank, I established myself in Myanmar in 2012 – where I relaunched Yoma Bank, growing the balance sheet to more than 2B USD in seven years and co-founding Wave Money, a mobile money business, which recently welcomed Ant Financial as a shareholder.

At both Yoma Bank and Wave I experienced first hand how critical women are to the development of the financial system – both as professionals and as clients. Nevertheless they are operating in a system with norms entirely designed by men. Lucy is here to offer women a solution designed by women for women. It’s been a long time coming.
